Dana M. Nelson, Digital Strategist

Dana Nelson is a social media digital strategist, Constant Contact Solution Provider, PromoRepublic Ambassador, Founding Member of The Local Expert Speakers Association (LESA), past Local Authorized Expert for Constant Contact and Local Product Trainer, and a Startup Weekend facilitator. She is a noted speaker, co-chair of Evansville Girl Geek Dinners, founder of Linkedin to Learn, freelance writer for the Evansville Business Journal, Purdue master gardener, and 4-H Technology Club leader.

Dana is dedicated to educating small businesses, nonprofits, and organizations on how to make their marketing efforts as effective as possible. She has proven her expertise, passion, and commitment to helping small businesses and nonprofits in their local community.

Dana frequently speaks at seminars and training workshops focused on using marketing strategies to find new prospects, engage key audiences, drive dialogue, and build relationships. These strategies include a framework that shows how different marketing campaign types all fit together, to deeper dives into the specific campaigns and tactics: newsletters and announcements, offers and promotions, online listings, events and registrations, feedback, and mobile.

Twitter is her love language. Her passion for social media runs way deep. She’s literally writing the book on internet and social media literacy, wants to change the lyrics to “I’d like to buy the world a Coke” to “I want to teach the world to tweet” and has a self-diagnosed love affair with Twitter.

When she isn’t using her sociology background to help clients find their voice over social media, she can be found crocheting, making waves in the Evansville business community or obsessing with her passion photographing flowers and bridges.
